Expert Sports Massage & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy

Professional, personalised treatment for aches, pains, muscular problems and injuries.

You don’t have to be a sports person to benefit from sports massage.

Whether you’re dealing with persistent back or neck pain, a work-related problem, an old injury that keeps returning, or an injury that’s stopping you doing the things you enjoy, effective treatment starts with understanding what’s going on.

As a Level 5 Sports Massage & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist with over 14 years’ experience, I take an assessment-led, whole-body approach to treatment.

I don’t simply massage the area that hurts.

I look at the bigger picture, identify factors that may be contributing to your problem and tailor your treatment accordingly.

More than a massage

Sports massage is much more than simply working on tight muscles.

My Level 5 training gave me advanced knowledge and practical skills in assessment, anatomy, soft-tissue treatment and rehabilitation. This allows me to look at how different parts of the body work together and consider what may be contributing to your symptoms.

Your treatment may include a combination of:

  • Assessment of your symptoms and movement
  • Targeted hands-on soft tissue treatment
  • Sports and remedial massage techniques
  • Stretching and mobility work
  • Corrective exercises
  • Rehabilitation advice
  • Practical recommendations to help you manage your body between appointments

The aim isn’t simply to make you feel better for an hour. Where appropriate, I want you to understand your body better and have practical things you can do to support your recovery and long-term movement.

Who Can I Help?

I work with people of all ages and activity levels, from young people and recreational sports participants to professional athletes, busy professionals, manual workers and older adults. You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from treatment.

You might be:

Living with persistent muscular pain

Perhaps your neck, shoulders, back or hips have been bothering you for weeks, months or even years.

Working at a desk

Long periods of sitting and repetitive working positions can contribute to stiffness, muscular tension and recurring aches and pains.

Doing physically demanding work

Farmers, farriers, dog groomers, care workers, tradespeople and others who work physically can place considerable demands on their bodies.

Recovering from an injury

Treatment and appropriate rehabilitation can form an important part of returning to the activities you enjoy.

Keeping active as you get older

You don’t have to stop doing the things you enjoy because your body isn’t quite keeping up with you.

Simply wanting to move and feel better

You don’t need to have a specific injury. Sometimes you just know that something isn’t quite right.

Experience You Can Trust

Welcome! I’m Hannah Hall.

I’ve been working as a soft tissue therapist since 2012, helping people with a wide variety of muscular problems, injuries and movement-related issues.

I’m a Level 5 qualified Sports Massage & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist, having trained at the North London School of Sports Massage

Level 5 training goes beyond learning massage techniques. It develops advanced skills in assessment, treatment planning, soft tissue techniques and rehabilitation.

I also contribute to the education of other therapists by marking assignment papers for NLSSM, helping assess the work of people training in sports massage and remedial soft tissue therapy.

My approach is professional, practical and individual. Every person’s body, history and circumstances are different, so I don’t believe in following a standard treatment routine.

Don’t Just Take My Word For It

Here is what clients have to say about Yarnfield Sports Massage

Phil

“Hannah offers a friendly and effective service at fair and competitive rates, first discussing your needs and then delivering a specific massage treatment, expertly locating and working on troubled areas. After Hannah’s treatments, I always feel a marked relief from the pain and tightness I experience as a result of physical activities and unavoidable long periods driving.”

★★★★★

Rob

“Hannah is very professional and very proficient and she did an amazing job. Over the course of several sessions, she worked out that my back problems actually started in my neck, and adapted her treatment accordingly. The result was a huge improvement in my symptoms almost immediately. I’m moving away soon and it’s going to be a real struggle to find someone as good as Hannah – but she’s even come up with some exercises I can do to help alleviate any problems while I’m looking for a replacement.”

★★★★★

Roxy

“I’ highly recommend Hannah. Through her excellent treatment on my shoulder I have noticed an improvement. Every session I have had with Hannah has always left me feeling very relaxed.”

★★★★★

Kristine

“Before receiving treatment I had little idea of how effective massage is, but now I am completely won over. And I cannot emphasise this enough, there was absolutely no pain involved.

Treatment and Pricing

Your treatment is tailored to you and your individual needs. I don’t work to a fixed routine or simply massage the area that hurts.

Your appointment may include assessment, hands-on soft tissue treatment, movement advice and rehabilitation exercises where appropriate.

Initial Treatment — £50

Your first appointment is allocated up to 60 minutes.

This gives us time to discuss your concerns, understand your history, assess what may be contributing to the problem and provide appropriate treatment.

Where helpful, you’ll also be given practical advice or exercises to work on between appointments.

Follow-up Treatment — £50

Follow-up appointments are tailored to your current needs and are allocated up to 60 minutes.

We’ll review how you’ve been progressing and adapt your treatment accordingly. This may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation and advice to help you continue making progress between appointments.

Focused Treatment — £30

For established clients who need a shorter, focused appointment.

This appointment is allocated up to 30 minutes and is suitable where a full treatment appointment isn’t necessary.

A treatment tailored to you

Every appointment is different because every person is different. I’ll use my experience and professional judgement to tailor your treatment to what you need on the day. This may include assessment, hands-on treatment, movement advice or exercises to work on at home.

Every person is different, so I won’t follow a set routine or continue treatment simply because there is time remaining. I’ll use my professional judgement to provide the treatment that is appropriate for you on the day.

Not sure which appointment is right for you?

If you’re a new client, book an Initial Treatment. We’ll have plenty of time to discuss what’s been troubling you and decide on the most appropriate approach together.

You don’t have to live with “just one of those things”

It’s easy to put persistent aches and pains down to getting older, sitting at a desk, working hard or an old injury.

But if something is affecting how you work, exercise, sleep, enjoy your hobbies or simply get through your day, it’s worth doing something about it.

You don’t have to be a runner.

You don’t have to be an athlete.

And you don’t have to wait until the problem becomes severe.

If something is bothering you, let’s explore how treatment might help.
